The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint for a sustainable future for all. They are interrelated with each other and incorporate the global challenges we face every day, such as poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, peace and justice. In order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each of these goals by 2030.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy of peace and prosperity.

The 17 SDGs are integrated: they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in other areas and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. Countries have pledged to prioritize progress for those furthest behind. The SDGs are designed to end poverty, hunger, AIDS and discrimination against women and girls. The creativity, knowledge, technology and financial resources of the whole society are necessary to achieve the SDGs in all contexts.
