UPCOMING PROJECTS .

All our programs are based on sustainable development goals for the 2030 global agenda. We know that every action adds up and counts, let's be the example for the world, help us to help! Whether with your donation, volunteering or collaboration we will be grateful, the change It's not done alone, it's done in cooperation! Together we change the world!

"LESS PLASTIC, MORE LIFE"

Collection, Classification and Environmental Ed.

Thousands of animals die each year from ingesting plastic by mistaking it for food, ingesting it and damaging its digestive system, causing death in most cases. In Galapagos there are more than 36 endemic species that are in danger because of it. This is why we need to act now! our projects include environmental education for the community, monthly collection calls, new uses for recyclable materials, reception points for plastic bottles, among others. Help us create a cleaner world with more life!

SUSTAINABLE HOUSING

Recycling and Housing Construction

Help us create a more sustainable world and create homes for those in need from bricks made with recycled materials such as plastic and glass. Even today thousands of people do not have their own home or with the minimum conditions of a decent house, the high values of construction materials deprive many families of this basic need. At VWC we are aware of the enormous amounts of non-biodegradable waste that we produce year after year and we have implemented an initiative that reuses these resources to create new construction materials and thereby contribute widely to recycling and reduction.  helping more families to access, free or at a lower cost, decent, sustainable and ecological housing.

COASTAL CLEAN-UPS

Galapagos Archipelago

Millions of marine animals die each year due to plastics and non-biodegradable waste that are thrown into the sea and spread by currents, due to this the waste can be close to populated sites or even in places never visited by man, and here is the The great importance of collecting this waste for marine life and the conservation of ecosystems, since it degrades natural habitats, secretes toxic substances and even destroys fragile ecosystems such as coral reefs and reservoirs of biodiversity.

CLEAN ENERGIES

Contaminant reduction

The renewable energies  they are clean, inexhaustible and increasingly competitive energy sources. They differ from fossil fuels mainly in their diversity, abundance and potential for use in  anywhere on the planet, but above all in that they do not produce greenhouse gases -causing climate change- or polluting emissions, it is due to these reasons that a change is necessary, we want to take solar energy to the next level, being able to create rural neighborhoods with little access to electricity in state-of-the-art neighborhoods operating 100% with clean and renewable energy. It is an ambitious but necessary plan! a better world is possible in cooperation!

FOREST RESTORATION

reforestation of native species

Every year the world loses 10 million hectares of forest (roughly equivalent to the area of the Republic of Korea, or twice the area of Costa Rica) due to deforestation. Soil degradation affects almost 2,000 million hectares, an area larger than South America, and this has multiple adverse effects. Forest loss and degradation are the cause of the emission of large amounts of gases that generate global warming, and at least 8% of forest species and 5% of animal species are currently at extreme risk of extinction. 5 Degradation alone affects the well-being of 3.2 billion people and costs more than 10% of global gross product in lost ecosystem services.

WATER COLLECTION AND SANITATION

Galapagos Archipelago

In Latin America, almost 166 million people in the region or 26% of the population still do not have access to a drinking water supply that meets the criteria of the Sustainable Development Goals. That is why our initiative to advise and implement rainwater harvesting sites in rural areas and at the same time improve and add the sanitation of these waters through UV technologies. being able to create reservoirs to have drinking water all year round.
